Phillips Knob Fire Tower is a steel fire tower near Burnsville, North Carolina atop Phillips Knob. With the removal of the Mount Mitchell Tower in 2006, Phillips Knob Fire Tower is the only remaining tower in Yancey County, with Green Knob Fire Tower to the south, bordering Yancey County, listed as a McDowell County tower.

Other Information

The tower is accessed by private road (no public access), but may be climbed with unrestricted access to the cab. As of November 2017, this tower is not listed on historic registers, making it's future uncertain.
